It turns out that P2P is not only an enemy for the major record labels, it’s also an excellent marketing research tool. In fact, MediaDefender is using piracy to help labels increase profitability.


Google Announces Adsense For Mobile
& DigiTimes: Google will definitely launch its own branded handset

Google has announced a new advertising program, AdSense for Mobile, a contextually targeted ad platform for mobile website content.

Citing sources at “Taiwan handset makers,” DigiTimes is reporting that “Google will definitely launch its own branded handset.” However, the Googlephone’s OS, hardware specs, production contractor and operating partners have still not been finalized.

Mobile Marketing at Music Festivals

Mobile phones promise to revolutionize event marketing and let sponsors reach visitors in uniquely personal ways that would be impossible with conventional media. Witness V Festival, held this August in Weston Park and Hylands Park. The festival gave its namesake sponsor, mobile network provider Virgin Mobile, a chance to show off some innovative phone uses and bond with thousands of attendees.
